We have had SHIF and SHA for 3.5 months now and the systems foreseen under the different Funds and legal frameworks are not yet operational. It was sad to watch this video of a new mum seeking redress at the Office of the Cabinet Secretary for Health at Afya House. I bet there are very many other Kenyans facing the same circumstances with no redress available to them.

It would have been great to hear what plans the Ministry of Health, Kenya has for implementation of the new health plans. For instance, the formation of the Social Health Insurance Dispute Resolution Tribunal is an idea still yet to be executed.

Where should Kenyans seek redress for issues arising out of implementation of the Social Health Insurance Act before this the Tribunal is constituted?
