National Assembly Bill No. 41 of 2025.

This proposed law seeks to add into law, a formal and legally sanctioned protection towards safety for patients in Kenya. The National Assembly passed the proposed legislation with amendments, as outlined in the infographic above.

When first drafted, the Bill proposed to introduce a Patient Safety Authority and to merge its functions with those of the HIV & AIDS Tribunal and the proposed Social Health Insurance Tribunal( which is yet to be established). The draft forwarded to the Senate of Kenya is clear of these proposals which were identified for amendment by the public.
